ARNOLD LIM
Korean-Canadian writer, director and producer Arnold Lim is a two-time recipient of Telefilm’s Talent to Watch program, and most recently Telefilm's Feature Film Fund, going to camera on his latest feature film The Bryce Lee Story in the Summer of 2025.
Past awards include B.C. Arts Council, Canada Council for the Arts, BravoFACT, the Harold Greenberg Fund, and the Director's Guild of Canada's Established Greenlight Award for Obscura/옵스큐라, which won the Leo Awards for Best Short Film and Best Screenplay at the 2024 Leo Awards.
A former Photo & Video journalist of more than 17 years, his experience working in extraordinary, unpredictable and dynamic situations has helped craft a calm, even-keeled and sensitive approach to directing, leadership and working with cast and crew in high-paced environments
Lim is a graduate of the National Screen Institute’s Features First Program, has a Master's Degree in communications, is a Master's Candidate in Screenwriting and has been a programmer or juror for numerous film festivals and Photography Manager for five Olympic Games. He hails from Victoria, B.C.
